Who am I?Ā
Hey, I'm Shafonne.
In 2003 I went wedding dress shopping and couldn't find anything built for my body. In 2011 I started Pretty Pear Bride because of it, and it grew into Aisle Society, a network of ten wedding publications.
I'm a mom, a wife and a CEO, and for most of those years the CEO part took the evenings too. The business lived in my head. Even on stage at Engage!, a wedding conference for the top ultra luxury wedding professionals, part of me was still back at my desk.
What changed wasn't finding balance. It was getting clear on what I actually wanted the business to give me, and building it that way. Now I get evenings with my family and friends instead of evenings at my desk.
